lucky hippo casino Report scams to hotline 1326 – CICC
MANILA, Philippines — Instead of ranting on social media, Filipinos should report scams and cybercrimes to the Inter-Agency Response Center hotline 1326, according to the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC).
Filipinos have turned to social media to complain about unauthorized fund transfers on their GCash e-wallets over the weekend.
“We encourage the public to report to CICC if they were affected by the recent e-wallet losses. We may be able to assist them if they call 1326 so they can be assisted instead of posting their missing cash on social media,” CICC executive director Alexander Ramos said.
“Social media platforms will not in any way help you resolve losses in your e-wallets,” Ramos said.
The CICC said it is coordinating with GCash to look into the fund transfers.
The agency is also working with the National Telecommunications Commission on how GCash clients can be assisted.
As of Saturday, most of the affected customers have had their money returned.
Hotline 1326 is toll-free and operates around the clock, including holidays.
Some people on social media complained of the hotline’s excessive questioning and collection of personal information when filing a report or submitting a complaint.lucky hippo casino
